About me: No longer employed (by choice) with no consumer debt to pay and it's just my husband and I. Children are grown and on their own financially speaking.

I received a payment for $250 yesterday. It's a long story, but in a nutshell, I lend money to a family member. At that time, I could afford to never see the money again. I decided to use any repayment to continue contributions to my retirement fund as it is my #1 priority.

Nice to be in a position that you can be unemployed by choice and to have no consumer debt! How far are you from retirement age and do you still have a mortgage, or have you paid off all your debt? I myself am 58, about to turn 59, and trying very hard to be debt-free by 65.
